Description

This handsome interwar-period display cabinet presents a striking architectural presence, perfectly suited for showcasing a curated collection of ceramics or fine glassware. The most defining feature is the intricate astragal glazing to the twin doors, which forms a large, central elliptical motif that beautifully frames the interior and creates a sophisticated focal point.

Expertly finished in richly toned mahogany, the piece showcases a beautiful play of grain, from the vertical door frames to the horizontal banding across the top rail. The cabinet is elevated by elegant, short cabriole legs terminating in traditional pad feet, lending a sense of refined lightness to the substantial upper carcass.

The interior remains clean and versatile, featuring two adjustable glass shelves. The hardware is classically understated, featuring a discreet brass escutcheon and a working lock with its original key, ensuring the clean, traditional silhouette remains uninterrupted.
