Scope
These conditions apply to all online sales made by Flvn Heritage for antiques, vintage furniture, decorative objects, and other historical items. All items are sold as previously owned goods unless expressly stated otherwise.
Nature of antique and vintage goods
Items offered by Flvn Heritage are previously owned and often of considerable age. Buyers should expect characteristics consistent with age, use, and history, including:
- natural wear, patina, fading, marks, and surface variation
- old repairs, later replacements, restoration, or historical alterations
- differences in colour, tone, or finish caused by photography, lighting, or screen settings
- reasonable differences of opinion as to age, period, maker, origin, or attribution unless expressly verified
Descriptions, attribution, and authenticity
Descriptions are prepared in good faith using the information available at the time of listing. Statements about period, date, origin, maker, attribution, or authenticity are opinions unless expressly identified as verified or supported by documentation.
Language such as "believed to be," "in the style of," or "circa" should be read accordingly and does not amount to a guarantee.
Measurements are approximate. Colours and finishes may look different in person because of photography, lighting, and screen settings.
Ordering and availability
All items remain subject to prior sale until Flvn Heritage confirms availability and acceptance by correspondence. Display of an item on the website does not itself create a binding contract.
Prices shown are indicative and include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise in the listing or related correspondence.
Payment
Flvn Heritage may accept payment by the following methods:
- Major debit and credit cards
- Bank transfer
- Any other payment method agreed in writing before sale
Payment must clear in full before any item is released for delivery, shipping, or collection.
Delivery and collection
Delivery, courier arrangements, and collection options are agreed individually depending on the item, destination, and practical handling requirements. Timings given are estimates unless expressly confirmed.
Risk passes to the buyer on delivery to the buyer or the buyer's chosen address, or on collection by the buyer or their appointed carrier.
Buyers should inspect items promptly upon receipt and notify Flvn Heritage as soon as reasonably possible if there is transit damage, an issue with the order, or any concern about the condition received.
Returns and cancellation
If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you may usually have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the item, subject to any lawful exceptions under consumer legislation.
To start a cancellation or return, contact heritage@flvngroup.com with your order details and reason for return.
- The buyer must notify Flvn Heritage clearly within 14 days of delivery that they wish to cancel.
- Items should be kept in the same condition as delivered and handled only as reasonably necessary to inspect them.
- Returned goods should be packed safely and sent back with appropriate care and insurance where relevant.
- Unless the item is faulty, misdescribed, or otherwise non-compliant with applicable law, the buyer is responsible for return delivery costs.
Limitation of liability
Items are sold as previously owned goods in their present condition, subject to the description provided and any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law.
No warranty is given beyond the description supplied in the listing and related correspondence. Flvn Heritage is not liable for minor discrepancies, age-related wear, or reasonable differences of opinion where details have been provided in good faith.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
