Description

A striking pair of antique English art pottery vases by Wardle & Co. (Stoke-on-Trent). These vases feature a rich, high-gloss drip glaze in a sophisticated palette of deep burgundy, amber, and ochre. The impressed "Wardle England" mark and "B9" shape number on the base date these pieces to the late Victorian or early Edwardian era (c. 1891–1910). The fluid, organic movement of the glaze makes each vase unique while remaining a perfectly balanced pair.
